Lack of care leads to cracks in the heels, swelling, pain, and difficulty in walking. To avoid this, you can try some easy home remedies. Some suggestions are presented here.

1. Vegetable oil

Put the shampoo in lukewarm water and soak your feet for 10 minutes. When the skin becomes soft, take a pumice stone and rub the heel with light hands. Doing this will remove dead skin. After that wash your feet and apply vegetable oil. Wear socks while sleeping.

2. Lemon juice

Lemon juice helps soften the skin. Soak the feet in water for 5 to10 minutes before sleeping at night. Add a little lemon juice to the water. After about 10 minutes, rub the feet lightly with a pumice stone and wash and let it dry. Do this when you are going to sleep.

3. Neem leaves

Neem leaves are not only helpful in curing cracked heel but also removes the infection. Prepare a paste by incorporating turmeric and a little water with neem leaves. Clean your feet and apply the paste and wash it with lukewarm water after half an hour.

4. Rice flour

It is very helpful in healing cracked heel. Prepare a paste by mixing rice flour, honey and apple vinegar in equal quantity. Wash and wipe the feet. After this, rub the prepared mixture gently on the affected heels and leave it for a while. After 5-10 minutes, wash your feet with lukewarm water, dry and apply moisturizer.

5. Honey

Honey is antiseptic. It helps in healing cracked heels. Mix honey in lukewarm water and dip the feet in it. After about 15-20 minutes, rub the feet lightly with the help of a pumice stone or foot scrub. Wash and dry the feet and wear socks. Socks can also be worn by applying a mixture of lemon, glycerin and rose water on the heels. This will keep them soft.
